Where can i find a cheap and effective ghillie suit (the head, pants, body and if possible the gun cover) ty

hi I'm trying to get a ghillie suit that will be very effective and wont cost over 140$, not including shipping ty alot for looking at my "form thing", idk what to call it. lol.

sportsmans guide online has them cheap. also try U.S. Cavalry on line or your local army navy surplus store. More expensive ones at cabelas and sportsmans warehouse.

make it. you need a large pair of bdus   quite a lot bigger than you wear, sew a net on it the back of the jacket, and the pants,lace burlap, natural vegation through it, . you will need to verify the area you will use the suit in, build you own, a lot bettetr than store bought.

It's pretty cheap to just make your own with the added bonus that you can tailor it to the exact color scheme of your area.

All you need is:

BDUs or one piece jump suit

Some kind of netting (Volleyball, tennis, fishing, whatever's cheap and handy), preferably black.

Colored burlap and jute (look at the area you want to use it in when picking colors)

Canvas

Shoe goo

Use the shoe goo to attach the netting to the back of your BDUs or jump suit. Then take the jute and burlap, cut into strips, and tie it all over the netting. Make sure to leave space to stick natural vegetation in. Either sew on or use more shoe goo to attach canvas to the heavy ware areas  on the front of the suit (Elbows, thighs, and knees)

Take a booney hat or sew a hood onto your suit and to the same with the netting and burlap/jute.

*notes: You may also want to sew on thumb straps to keep the sleeves from riding up and if you go the two piece BDU route suspenders will go a long way towards keeping the pants up.

You've got yourself a ghillie suit for like $70

Edit: Almost forgot, use a fire retardant spray once your finished because a ghillie suit can and will go up like box of matches without it.
