Where can i find a cheap bike that is decent?

Im 12 and i live in colorado. My old bike is to small and I need a new 1. please tell me anywhere (exept for ebay and craigslist) i dont use eighther.ty

If you want a good quality bike that you are willing to take care of but don't mind it being used, try your local bike stores in your area. Colorado is a treasure trove of bicycles. Some stores have used, trade-ins, or information on someone selling bikes. They are not there just to sell a brand new $1000 bike. They rather see someone on a bike enjoying themselves than someone in a car emitting more carbon. Give them a try. Good luck!

She doesn't use Craigslist because she is 12 and that's not the safest way for a kid to shop!

People will tell you that a bike from Target is going to break on you, but trust me, chances are pretty good that it won't.  I doubt you're careening down mountain sides, right?

When I was your age, I never had an expensive bike, just cheap Huffy and Schwinn mountain bikes from Target, and I rode them everywhere, off curbs, off road, etc., and they were all fine.  Just be careful and use common sense about what you're doing with it.

You're probably too big for your kids bike, but you'll probaby find an adult bike too big, so look for the ones that say 24" on them.  They should be a good size for you, assuming you're close to 5' tall.

I got a 24" mountain bike at Target last year for $50 and it's still like new, so definitely take a look there!

Not sure why you don't use craigslist; it's a great resource. Look at your local classifieds, or go to Wal Mart or Target or some place like that.

If you are not planning on jumping the bike, or doing heavy trail riding, you can just go to walmart or target and get a bike for around $100. All these bikes are good for is riding on road, no jumps or trails, they will break in a second. Hope I helped you.
