Where can i find a cheap mircophone that has good quality in brooklyn?

i need a goo microphone thats cheap but has a sort of good quality or can i modify my cheap on to make it sound like im not breathing on it? help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know about where to buy one in Brooklyn.  But, if you're just wanting to get rid of the breath sounds, most professional mics have a foam padding around the outside to get rid of any ambient wind.  Professionals usually talk through a small screen in front of the microphone, or have a tiny foam padding around it to keep the breath out, yet the sound in.  as a temp solution, you might try to find some extra foam padding that comes around some headphones and wrap it around the microphone.   If not, you can probably go to any electronic store like a radio shack, or Fryes Electronics to find mics that have that built in along with better "pickup" quality.
