i live in merced county, where can i find a cheap quick set swimming pool?

Walmart. If that is to much, you might try assembling your own out of plywood, 2x4's and polyethylene film. Use the kind that is used to cover green houses. It should be at least 6 mil thick. You'll also need a good pump and filter system to keep it clean. If this sounds outlandish, it is essentially what I did a few years ago where I lived in SC. It worked well, and lasted for several years. If you do this, use black polyethylene film. The clear stuff will not last through the season.
