freecycle.org, craigslist.org and walmart in that order.

I am almost sure you can find one on freecycle and if not craigslist will have one with sheets too! maybe even a mattress!

In the Indianapolis,Indiana area there are "once upon a child" stores. They are a resale shop of gently used baby-p*****n items.

define cheap. I got a lightning McQueen bed at Walmart for $50 bucks. I have seen them on craigslist for much less. Sometimes free. Mattresses will usually run you 20 or so. I would check your local papers too.

I think someone I know spend around $40 at Walmart. You could also look at consignment stores.

look for garage sales that have baby stuff in them, you have to get there early early though... like 8 and 9am

second hand children shops, we have Once Upon a Child

try looking at just a regular store, like walmart, k-mart, and babiesRus yes they have the expensive stuff but the really simple ones can get pretty low.
