What kind of wall covering are you looking for?  I used non-toxic paints and painted flowers and bees and such in my nursery.  It's really much easier than it sounds, and actually really fun once you get the hang of it.  Just get some of those one-stroke painting books and practice on some paper for a while, then take the plunge.  And it's personalized, like a gift for your baby!

You might try a discount center or major home center like Lowe's or Home Depot, even Wal-mart. However, if the paper is old, you may find that it doesn't adhere as well. That happened to me and I ended up having to take paper down and replace it. Some of your paint and decorating stores will have wallpaper on sale.

However, why not just paint? It's cheaper and you can easily do a painting technique with a special roller, a rag, or stencils, then when the baby grows - you can easily paint over it rather than having to strip the paper the next time you redecorate the room. It may seem like a while before they outgrown the nursey items, but believe me it comes quicker than you think. I know, I've had to redo two nurseries and if I did it all over again, I'd probably rely more on the accesories so that I wouldn't have had to do so much painting and papering.

Instead of wall paper which is hard to get off, and can be difficult to put up... why don't you buy some cute stencils. They are easy to use and you can create a nice pattern or border design just using a compliment color of paint.

Go to HomeDepot, they have the cheapest. You can try Lowe's but they always seem more expensive..Go to both, and check out if they might have a sale.
