  1. Here are 2 easy and one not-so-easy way to generate this yourself.

Not-so-easy is write a computer program.

But not everyone knows how to do that, so let's go on to the next.

If you know how to use spreadsheets, this is a snap.

Just note that each positive power is the previous power multiplied by the base, and each negative power is the previous power divided by the base.

Finally, if you can't do either of those, just use a calculator.

Even the most basic calculators have a Constant or Repeat key.

So you enter in for example 2 X X (hit the times button twice)

    It spits out 4.

You hit =, it gives you 8

you hit =, it gives you 16

    you keep going.

Then you repeat for 3 X X and you get powers of 3.

For the negative powers, do the same thing, but use the divide button.

Usually it has the line with a dot above and below, I'll use /.

    2 / / = (gives you 1)

    = (gives you 0.5)

    = (gives you 0.25)

    and so on

3 / / and repeated use of = gives you powers of 1/3

    and so on

    and so on.

If you want fractions instead, just use 1/the positive powers.
