Where can i find a local private sperm donor?

I'm getting older and my chances are running out to have a child, and i would prefer to see features of the future sperm donor.

Does anyone know how to find a local private sperm donor?

A baby is not a puppy. Don't just have one because you don't want to "miss out"! A child needs a father. You are being extraordinarily selfish to consider this. Not to mention, a man would have to commit a mortal sin to give you what you want.

If you want a child so badly, do an unselfish, noble thing and adopt a child (you can do it more cheaply through the foster care system). Those children need good homes. Don't bring a child into this world and then deprive him/her of the joys of a father.

I understand completely.  I'm in the same boat more or less.  The cheapest way to go would be to find a friend to help you out.  If this isn't possible, I'd suggest going to a sperm bank.  Going out to find some strange just doesn't seem right in this situation does it?  Anyway, you can purchase frozen sperm directly from a bank and insert it yourself for about $500.  This allows you to get pictures and backgrounds on the donor.  There are cheaper plans but most of the offer unwashed, anonymous sperm, which doesn't sound like your cup of tea.  If you do this yourself, you really need to be very careful and read the instructions completely.  Apparently it's pretty easy to hurt yourself with unwashed sperm, or at the very least waste the money if you don't do it right.  I would really go to a clinic and get artificially inseminated if you can afford it.

Oh and to oremus_fratres...  get over yourself.  I'm guessing you have no idea what this feels like and you need to understand that not everyone thinks like you do.  Your two cents seems only appropriate if she asked whether or not having a baby out of wedlock would d**n her immortal soul to h**l for all eternity.  If she wanted a puppy, she'd go buy one.  For being such a Christian... you sure are rude.  Judge not lest ye be judged and all that.
