Where can i find a newspaper article, just by knowing the paper and the name of one person n the article?

i want to find a article from about 20 years ago, it is in a local evening paper, and the onlt thing i defiately know is the name of one person in the article

i know the event was in the papers, as it happened to me as a child, but my name (i suppose because i was a child) wouldnt appear i take it in the paper, but the perpetrator was in the paper

i just want to know how this was reported when the abuser went to court, as i left the area due to the abuse at the time, but i remember someone coming up to me in my street, and saying it was all in the paper, when i said how did she know about it

do you know if there is a way to find the article

Ring the local paper in question and ask for archives or your County Council may have it stored on microfiche in their archives.

try to remeber the month and the year.that the person went to court.and ask your local paper.all newspaper have librarys.

and most have there librarys on micro film.hope this help you.
