  1. For your location, an excellant doctor who is on his way to becoming world famous in general, is Dr. Tobin Watkinson.  You can learn about him at www.tobininstitute.com

Anytime, you have an autism question, go to Yahoo Groups, and ask mothers of children who no longer have autism, like me.  ONLY listen to those who have success at ridding autism.  If they don't know how, they can't help you.

  2. Try asking a pediatrician about autism support groups.  Then you could ask the parents at those about other doctors. I found out about my son's doctor through a special education teacher(she also had a son with autism).  We have a school for birth to 3yrs (some go longer). If your child is behind in any area including social skills, they work with them.  Also, check if the school district has a program which usually starts at 3yrs. It helped my son a lot so when he started kindergarten, he was actually ahead of most of the kids.

When you find out some doctors, get second opinions if your unsure about them. But if they say wait until she gets older, that is a sign to definitely get a new doctor. EARLY INTERVENTION IS THE BEST THING YOU COULD DO FOR YOUR CHILD!!!

  3. This may be a blind alley but...the Applied Behavior Change Clinic (theabcclinic.com) may be able to advise.
