Where can i find a short story fiction contest in massachusetts or anywhere in the new england area ?

I like to write stories and my teacher said that they have contests like you win money or you get a trip to go somewhere preferably japan (tht's where i wanna go)

but yeah can you help me find some contests

Look @ recent issues of Writer's Digest & The Writer.  Also, look for the 2009 copy of Writer's Market.  They list contests.  Writer's Digest also publishes a book, I think, of nothing but info on short stories (Writer's Market for Short Stories).  See if that helps.
