Where can i find an EXAMPLE of disruptive selection?

i need tomorrow i truly cant seem to find one. ADDITIONAL QUESTION isnt disruptive selection and divesifying selection the same?

  1. Try any textbook on statistics, Bell Curve, and/or evolution.  

    Generally, disruptive selection has to do with changes or modifications in "populations" (people, animals) that, at the same time, favor both extremes of the distribution (often called outliers).  When this phenomenon happens, the extremes (of the distribution) are more active than the center (If you look at a Bell curve, the visual may help you with this), and the extremes then peak.

    And yes, to my knowledge, disruptive selection and diversifying selection are the same.
