I have a Canon Digital Rebel XTi, and wish to do some timelapse shots, but the battery has always run out after about 2 hours of continuous shooting... i can see the place where the cord fits on the side of the camera, next to the battery pack, but havent been able to find ANY ac adapters that are compatible...

  1. Canon makes the CA-PS700 Compact Power Adapter that will work on your camera ... you may have to order it from your local pro camera store.

  2. radio sha hack

  4. amazon is a good place to find an adapter for your camera.

besides, you can take another replacement battery along so that you can make another 2 hours shooting. You can find that on some online store like

Canon part number ACK-DC20 is what you need.  The CA-PS700 alone isn't enough to do that.  The ACK-DC20 does includes it though.

Another option is to buy a battery grip (BG-E3) that allows you to use 2 batteries.
