Where can i find beginners' sewing classes in DC? Meaning DC, NOT VA and NOT MD! Thanks.?

call one of the major sewing machine sales houses!! Janome and Bernina shops both have very inexpensive sewing classes. I am not sure about the others. The cost is minimal and covers the cost of materials needed for the class. They have more advanced classes, as well, and some of these can get rather more $$$ as you will be using more expensive fabrics and findings.

You can try the Textile Museum, the Smithsonian, and the Corcoran College of Art and Design... they give various craft classes but I'm not sure if they do beginning sewing classes... they might give you a better point in the right direction though.

There's a cloth store on Downtown K street that might have something too.
