We're looking to take a boat to watch the Celebration of light, does anyone know where we can find a place to rent boats and how much it would cost? we can go as a group of 10, but we can grow it to 50 if it saves us money. Thanx!

  1. If you can get a large enough group together, find a charter boat where someone qualified drives the boat. It's a madhouse out on the water those nights and if you aren't experienced it's hair-raising. Just search 'charter boats vancouver ' and there they are. Sewell's rents mostly very small boats and Horseshoe Bay where they are located is pretty far from Vancouver in a small boat in the dark.

A few of my friends worked here, it's very layed back, you can have a driver or if you prefer you can take it on your own.

They will also give you place you should visit via boat, also whale watching hot spots etc..

  3. granville island has a few plus  charter operators  Harbour Ferries  and others have dinner cruises
