Where can i find cheap accommodation in downtown quebec city?

$25-$100 range. a good hostel or cheap hotel will do. i'm looking for a cheap private room located downtown quebec city. any recommendations?

  1. You're going to pay extra if you're not French Canadian. As soon as they hear your accent, prices go up lol. It's expensive visiting Quebec City so be careful. Make reservations on line if possible. Also Quebec has a bus system but they won't tell you and try to get you to use a taxi which will milk you for everything you got lol. The French will rob you, cheat you, lie to you, and call you names in a language you don't understand but you get the idea lol. Don't use a credit card either, cash is safer.

    The French general attitude is if you're not French, you don't matter. They can be downright meanies and enjoy it. It took me a lot of patience to get along with them and gain their respect but once I did, life was good. I like the French but I know I'm in the minority on that lol. Food is really good, best quality ingredients even at the inexpensive family places.

    The good news; it's not as bad as I just said. Also the younger people are evolving. If you're on the street and you need to ask someone a question, ask a college kid lol.
