  1. I get alot of that stuff from Oriental Trading.  Ask other teachers in your building where they get their stuff.

  2. Definately check your dollar stores around the area.  We have one nearby here that has a great "teacher section". I often pick up charts and laminate them... 2 in a pack... so hey! .50/piece.

www.childcareland.com has many free printables that you would be able to make use of.  She does a monthly calendar set in color and b & w.  I've use many of her alphabet/number activities to create theme related "charts".

If you search online you will find many other free printables for you to use.  I've seen an abundance of name plates, b.b. ideas, calendar cards, etc.

May I also suggest that you allow your children to create the montly decorations?  Definately makes a room seem so much more friendly!

Good luck in your beginning teaching years!

  3. Here is a great site:

    http://preview.tinyurl.com/5ge3jn

  4. www.orientaltrading.com

  5. Try a local dollar store, Big Lots, or the discount department at major retailers such as Target or Meijer.

  6. A Dollar Store is heaven to all teachers.  I do not know which ones they have in your area, but I really like Dollar Tree.  They have a special section just for teachers!

Also check out www.orientaltrading.com or www.lakeshore.com

You may also want to put an ad on www.craigslist.org.  Lots of teachers will be retiring this year and may have a lot of that stuff to donate!

  7. what about learing tree

  8. i think you can pretty much get all of this at a dollar store! you can also try stores like walmart and target!!

    hope this helps!!! =)

  9. There is a fantastic website called sparklebox, you can get hods of free downloads or buy cd's they update thire free bees all the time I run a Pre school and we are sparkle box crazy all our signs and visual aids come from there and they are free

  10. You could always try to make a lot of the things you need. Do you know of any scrapbooking shops in your area? Some of these types of stores have die cut machines that you can use, you just supply the paper.
