  1. The Hotel Felice in Rome is just a short walk from Termini Station, near to all the most interesting and charming places in Rome:

  2. Get the best hotel at the best rate here, and search by location.  All the features you need:

  3. i live in Rome!the closer airport is Fiumicino (you can reach it by taxi for 40 euros and in 30 minutes;or by train there is one direct and you spend 11 euros, and the other stops in all the station and you pay 5 euros for the ticket)...about the hotels more they are close to the ancient city, and more you spend!I'll give you some link whee you can find informations

  4. from this link http://en.reserver.it/hotels/Rome.php  you can search through more than 300 hotels and B&Bs: the results (with prices and availability) are placed on the map, so you can have an accurate idea about the distance to  the most important monuments in Rome

  5. Rome's quite compact; you can walk between the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps and the Colisseum and Vatican City very easily if you're reasonably fit. The main airport is the Fiumicino Airport though, and you ain't going to walk from there to the city, trust me, you'll be in a taxi for 30,  maybe 45, minutes depending on the traffic.

Stay at one of the hotels near the side of the Vatican City, and you'll be near the main escape to the airport and also well placed for walking the sites. (Although you could shell out and take an open-topped bus, and just get on and off when you like, but I think it's about 20 Euros these days so you might not want to pay).

Re: Hotels, I'd recommend the Best Western Spring House. It's cheap and cheerful but just refurbished, so pleasant. (I was last there in February). http://en.venere.com/hotels_rome/vatikan...
