If you dont believe that the ozone is tearing or decreasing please let me know why you believe this and where i can research it more. I dont want to get into any arguments with anyone. I would just like to hear both sides of the matter. \

thankyou,

  1. Hmmm.... you've asked two quite different questions here.

    To the first:

I don't think you will find any "conspiracy information on the ozone [layer or hole]" simply because there is no conspiracy.

As to the second, the hole in the ozone layer was primarily caused by human emissions of CFCs. This destructive activity was noted and addressed on a global level.

Through international understanding, willingness and cooperation, a significant threat to our environment was averted in a way that minimised economic disruption.

Now, if we could only use this approach to AGW!

So the answer to your second question is that the hole in the ozone layer is slowly decreasing (going back to normal) due to a significant reduction in the use of CFCs by humans. Of course, being a natural climate-related issue, it is complicated and does not follow a smooth curve - there are ups and downs, reversals and leaps forward - but in general, the trend is a successful one.

  2. If you use the Google keywords 'ozone chlorine'  you will find studies about chlorine and bromine effects on high level ozone.

We know definitively that chlorine and bromine break up ozone at ground level. It is assumed that this would be true of the upper ozone shield. The question would depend on whether chlorine or bromine will get that high.  It is much more likely that chlorine does.

  3. i don't know

  4. Look at how the ozone layer is formed . The solar winds collide with the earth magnetic field. O3 will not stay O3 very long as it will break down That is prevented by charged particles. In the solar wind the beta particles are attracted to the north pole and make it negative. The alpha particles are attracted to the south pole and make it positive. This is a huge ion battery that holds O3 as O3. The apparent hole at the poles is because U are on the inside of the magnetic field . All this veries with how active the sun is...

  5. As donfletcheryh said,

Ozone depletion theory depends on the ability of heavy chemicals like chlorine to be blown by winds into the ionosphere.

The Ionosphere is 90 km above the earth.  Most weather phenomena, including towering cumulonimbus thunderclouds, are confined to the troposphere 8 to 15 km above the earth.

Chlorine gas, when released in air stays near the ground.  One reason why is was used as a weapon in World War 1 (mustard gas).

There is no known method for gas produce by people on earth to get past the weather into the ionosphere.  So no evidence to support the ozone depletion theory.

Further, since the time of the Ozone Scare, observations of the holes over the poles show the holes open and close with the seasons.  Finally, no one knows how long the ozone holes have been there.

There are some fascinating information about the ionosphere at this university website: http://www.dcs.lancs.ac.uk/iono/ionosphe...
