Check out the site http://www.eatsleepgo.com.  It's a site that aggregates all of the cool, hip hotels and restaurants by geography.  Unlike many other travel suggestion sites, it is an aggregation of reviews done by leading magazines like Dwell, Metropolitan Home, New York Times, National Georgraphic Traveler, etc.  They often find the newest, most interesting and unique places to visit rather "reviews" by the public who are difficult to trust.
