I totally understand your question, but I've got to say this ... there's no such thing as a free lunch! Even if you can find a friend, you should seriously consider having some legal paperwork drawn up to protect you and your partner. That will cost you a few hundred dollars but will be worth every penny.

Having said that, I know a fabulous family with two mommies; both women did AI from the same close male friend, so their daughters, a few years apart in age, have the same bio dad. It's a great arrangement, but they DID have legal paperwork done.

Finally, a few hundred dollars to the local sperm bank will give you washed, tested and Michael-Phelps swimmers only )takes out all the slow or dead ones). Sperm 'washing' gives you all good sperm which raises the chances of conception the first time around. They can do it with your own donor, or with a friend's sperm. $250-$300 for this service.

First off don't go out and find some random guy off the streets just to knock you up.and for the ones who gave you advice to do that,shame on you all.secondly you can find groups on yahoo like:

these men are willing to help you free of charge and is willing to provide any medical records to prove that they are disease free.but if you do join any of these groups,please post what you want in a donor and what type of insemination you would like to have done.and also even if they say they are disease free still ask for proof of their medical records.if you still need any help please email me and let me know.this is how i found my donor and i have never been so thankful of those groups.

Umm.... If you want free sperm more than likely you're going to have to just have s*x with guys. Or maybe ask people that are good canidates for you if they would give you some. But I'm guessing that conversation is going to be an awkward one with most people. Good Luck though.
