Ebay is the way to go for sure...  I have been buying on Ebay for 5 years now and I'll never go any where else again.  Just make sure you take your time with what kind of clubs your looking to purchase, do some research and make a decision, it's quite straight forward.  I personally like the buy it now option it takes out the mystery of what the price is going to be especially if it is a nice set of clubs.  Chances are the clubs you are looking for will get up near the price the seller is asking any ways..

YARD SALES ( sometimes old ones are sold - ex wives or ex girl friends selling them off ).  Also check Ebay and Thrift stores.

I once picked up a nice shotgun, pistol and tools at a garage sale.  I told the lady she was selling the stuff really cheap ( didn't want to take too much advantage )  She looked me dead in the eyes and said " that son of a ***** is on a supposed business trip with his girlfriend and I am selling his stuff and going to the lawyer ".  I filled my trunk.

Don't any club sets in ebay or online. Go to Golfsmith or GolfGalaxy. They have large pre-owned club sets. You can try as many clubs as you want.

Golfsmith.com.  You can look online or go to the nearest store and try the clubs out before you buy them.  You can't do this on Ebay.  they have a highly trained staff, and will help you in any way to find the clubs you want.
