Where can i find info about obtaining a job as a river boat cook? i need OJT?

I would be willing to work cheap to learn the in and outs in this position.

Some of the towing companies, require the deckhands to be the cooks. others hire full time cooks, and from some of the food i have ate on the boats I don't think there is a requirement for knowing how to cook.

call the towing companies themselves,  once you get a job, find out what the captain likes, learn to cook it like they like, and you wont have a problem keeping your job.
