Question:

Where can i find information on the Hanford Site in Washington?

More Specifically i need to know if the radioactive waste there contaiminated the water supply? If so did people die from it or have defects?

    Hanford is isolated, and unlikely to contaminate water now.  But they have a host of long range problems.  Leaking tanks, huge old reactors on the banks of the Columbia River that they don't know how to clean up at any reasonable cost, etc.  The whole site is about half the size of Rhode Island.

    As with most DOE sites, most of the health issues involve people who used to work there.  In the 50s and 60s DOE was not a model of industrial safe practice.

    Many people living nearby claim health problems, but that's not been proven.  Much info here:
