Where can i find legit acting agency?

i've tried proscout, jrp, a.c.t and they all sounded like scams...

John Roberts Powers and ACT are both acting schools that bring agents and casting directors to see their applicants. It's not so much as a scam.. It can be helpful but very costly. My friend did a similar thing and got signed to an agency.

But Proscout, JRP, and A.C.T. are NOT ACTING AGENCIES.

go here http://www.sag.org/branches and click your city or closest to your city, and then click local resources and download the pdf. It will tell you the legit agencies that work with the screen actors guild!

You have to get to work by going to auditions yourself.  Go to Los Angeles and go to as many auditions as the day will allow.  My friend drove her 16 year old son over and they sat in waiting rooms for a week.  He finally got  a job because someone thought he looked like a young Justin Timberlake (i don't think he does).   After he did that one tv show, he got to play Jim Belushi as the "young Jim Belushi" running a lemonade stand on that show.

Not exactly what he imagined when he thought about "acting" as a career.   No agent can shortcut the process unless your mom or dad is a star and everyone knows their name.  The rest of us have to struggle.  Have you ever eaten lunch in Hollywood.  The waiter is an actor.  I guarantee it.
