  1. There are lots of good boarding schools that do award financial aid. At most of them the aid is need based, meaning you will qualify based on your income. The schools expect you to suffer a bit but if you're low income some can be very generous. Your daughter needs to take the SSAT. When you have her score go to boardingschoolreview.com and choose schools where her grades and scores are well above average. Look for schools with large endowments as they have the most money to give. I've only heard of scholarships not sponsored by the actual school for specific minority groups like the Ichan scholars at Choate.

Have your daughter boost he grades the most she can. The schools with large endowments are in general the top boarding schools where they will expect a very high GPA and a score of over 90% on the SSAT.

  2. Most likely she will have to wait until her senior/junior year but as long as she applies she'll be good.

If she keeps up her grades and is involved in a lot of volunteer/extracurricular activities, encourage her to apply for the Gates Millenium, this one is full tuition. She'll need letters of rec (good ones) essays, and financial need.

    Have you tried fastweb.com?

also go to her college counselor.

  3. Private high schools are a luxury.  You aren't likely going to find anything on the Internet unless its on that high schools web page.  If there were a scholarship out there that would pay someones tuition to attend... the school will know about it.
