Where can i find mines in harvest moon ds?

go through vesta's farm and go up the path, there is a tent and a hole in the wall this is the mine.

The dig site is in the extreme upper-right corner of the map.  It is the opening to the right of the tent.  

Any day enter the dig-site after 9pm with your hammer equipped.  You will see a scene that will open the first mine.

From that point forward, to open the next mine you must get to the bottom of the deepest mine you have opened and defeat all the enemies present.  If there is a reward, collect it, the return to the mine after 9pm with your hammer equipped to open the next mine.  

There are 4 mines total, but the last is basically a bonus dungeon, with nothing in it that actually unlocks a sprite.
