  1. You can find out anywhere online by searching "internal CD-ROM installing"

As for how to install them, it's simple, just set the jumper (little peice of plastic with a little peice of metal inside, to create something like a switch) according to the directions below

Master-Select this if this is the only drive on the IDE chain, or if you have a secondary drive set as "Slave" connect to the same IDE chain

Slave-Select this is you have another drive on the IDE chain set as "Master"

Cable Select-Select this if the other drive on the IDE chain is also set to Cable Select, if both drives are set to Cable Select, the topmost drive on the cable will be master by default (Black connector), the bottommost drive (middle of IDE cable) on the cable will be slave by default (Gray connector)

When you connect the drives, connect the drives to the cable making sure the notch is facing up, it dosen't matter what order you put the drives on the cable, as long as it is connected, unless you have a hard drive and optical drive (CD/DVD drive) connected to the primary IDE connection on the motherboard, otherwise, make sure the hard drive is set as master (if under cable select, it should be connected to the top/black IDE connector)

After you connect everything, when you do to boot the computer, you should see the drives in "My Computer"

If the optical drive has a SATA connection on it, just connect it to the motherboard with a SATA cable, no jumper to worry about
