You can try the CIA world fact book, a website you can google.

Barnes and Noble has a pretty good one in their travel section and if they are out they can order it, or you fly to El Salvador and buy one. Some hotels have a pretty good tourist type map which highlights attractions and has the main roads.

I bought it and had it laminated.  I have used it during huge storms in El Salvador and it has never been damaged.  Very accurate map.
