Where can i find some good inspiration for a really abstract set design for a performance i'm doing. (pics) ?

i really like the last one, with all the draped fabric. i'd like to find a better picture showing that sort of thing.

  1. You seem to have some good references already of the kind of thing you would like, i add one link to a room transformed by draped fabric below.

    A performance is often adjusted to fit with its surroundings, so it might be an idea just to take some fabric to the location and have a play with what you can achieve there, trying to recreate something that was done for a different environment is often not very successful.

    Try and be creative with your location, maybe allow materials you can lay your hands on easily to provide you with a starting point then just play around. Instead of spending a lot of money on mirrors, for example, maybe you have pictures around your home that you can borrow the empty frames from? They might also provide a nice contrast to the floating fabric, to introduce some solid and strong lines into your set and help draw the eye to certain places. :-)
