  1. This is a very nice site.  Try  http://www.superkids.com/

  2. 1.  Bouncey Ball

    (good for learning colours)

In circle, have the child sit in the centre. Ask them what colour ball they want to be. (have a colour chart if possible to make the connection)  Clap your hands while singing...

" 'child's name' is a great big bouncing 'colour' ball, up in the air and down he/she falls. Round and round in circles, can't catch me, twisting, turning, 1, 2, 3."

    2. It's a lovely day.

" 'child's name', 'child's name', it's a lovely day, 'child's name, child's name' won't you come out and play, put your hat and jacket on, tell your Mom you won't be long, cause 'other child's name' is waiting around the corner.'

A continuous song that goes from one child to the next.

This one can also be used for transitions.  I've changed the words in this song to line up to line up to go outside, or to have lunch, etc.  Be creative.

    3.  Going to Kentucky

I use this song in a group, everyone can stand up or sit down while the one child is in the middle.  I prefer to have everyone standing, so they can dance to the song too.

" 'child's name''s going to Kentucky, he/she's going to the fair, to see a senorita with flowers in her hair, oh shake it baby shake it, shake it all you can, shake it like a milkshake, and pour it in a can.  Ohhhh, rumble to the bottom, rumble to the top.  Turn around and turn around until you hollar... STOP!"

Then that child can pick the next one to have a turn.

There really are so many, and also, with Sandy girl, we've changed it to Snowy girl, and the children also like to say they are different colours even.  Like I said, just be creative.

Also, the first person had said a "jump up" song, the wiggles do one quite similar.  It goes like this.

"Hey, Hey, what's your name?  You've got a name so you can play this game.  "child's name', 'child's name', stand up please, jump up once and touch your knees.  'child's name, child's name', turn around then, sit back down and we can start again".

Just continue with the other children.

  3. Do you know "jump up and down"? I've used it with ages 1-5 and they all love it! I'm not sure where you'd be able to go to hear how it goes though...you can always make up your own melody =) The lyrics are simple: (I'll use the name Ryan as an example) "Ryan, Ryan jump up and down, jump up and down, jump up and down. Ryan, Ryan jump up and down, now sit back down." Take turns calling each child and clap while singing it (the other kids usually clap along with you).
