my sister is currently having a lot of time off of school due to illness and we've asked the school to provide work. only one subject has done this and the work that she has recieved is minimal. so far she has missed a fortnight of school and mum is worried that she's going to fall behind really bad. can anyone suggest somewhere where we can find some interactive online resources so that she can do some work on the pc?

  1. BBC keyskills online

    BBC.co.uk-schools

If you look on these sites there is a plethora of information which covers all subjects to exam revision to research material.

    Hope you get better soon

  2. Leave her theres nothing the skool is really learning anyway.

  3. get back onto the school. they are legally obliged to provide you with work.

  4. Any good book store will have a variety of booklets covering different subjects for different age groups, children seem to enjoy working at them with a little help from mom or dad and they keep the child's mind active and focussed even if they may not cover exactly what is being missed at school. Of course your mother can insist that the school provide some work for every subject and if your sister is likely to be away for longer than another few days, I think she should do so as long as she doesn't urge your sister to do too much .... infact your sister is likely to be glad of the activity.

  5. not sure what a ks3 student is but if you mean 3rd grade. http://www.rhlschool.com/

These site will also take you to other sites that are helpful.

But you still need to talk to the board of education or something to get your teachers in gear. Good luck.
