i am looking for a dine in restaurant with good atmosphere and amazing dessert to take someone on a date.

I love Mexican food and enjoy both the deserts and the Bakery goods at Mario's in the Mexican Market off of Commerce and I35.

Here's something different.

Jim Cullum's Landing on the Riverwalk. Listen to some jazz and have a Bambino Huey while sipping a Blue River cocktail.

Beats the h**l out of a chain like Cheesecake Factory.

Of course the Cheesecake factory would have tasty desserts, but I agree with William that you should try something other than a chain.

Another option would be Silo - there's one in Alamo Heights and one near Stone Oak.
