Most chippies are good - just make sure it's a british shop.

In the last 60 years I've lived all the way around the UK. The best 2 that I've found are in Bristol at the bottom of Christmas Steps in the centre of the city. (sorry its an Italian name which I've forgotten, but is easy to find). The other is Bardsley's in Brighton, in Baker Street (off London Road). Enjoy if you make it.

While stationed at RAF Mildenhall, I bought fish and chips from a couple fellows who pulled their portable shop up to the perimeter fence. It was back in the '80's....Don and Jon? Ron and Don? I forget. But the food was simply great!
