Where can i find the hightest peaks dates of empires??

my history assignment is to make a timeline of fourteen different empires and their starting point, ending, and when they were at their highest peak. i found the starts and finishes but i cant find the peaks anywhere!! whats a good legit sight that i can find that type of stuff? thanks in advance!!
