  1. I am an educator and the BEST thing you can do is make them..... Using everyday items that he/she is familiar with.  This will be exciting to him/her and they will be more eager to learn.  Ex. For the first letter of his/her name use a picture of him/her.

  2. The best ones are at Staples,Toysrus, and if your looking for cheap ones check Walmart or K-mart!!!!!!! Good Luck!!!:)

  3. I have a program called English4kids where you can find all you are looking for and more. I can give you the download links. They are on rapidshare. But I don't know if I am allowed to here or not so I guess it'd be better if you emailed me and I'll give you the links.

  4. Wallmart, half-price books, toys-r-us, border's book store, Barnes and noble, etc.

  5. the early learning center (elc) or waterstones have em, i got some fab ones from elc with the abcs on them, they had the letter in small case, and a picture on, they had two of each letter in the pack, so u can play games with them such as snap or pairs.

  6. I agree with one of the above answerers, the dollar store is great. Also - look into scholastic.com or any book store has really nice ones for decent prices. If money is tight, then 5 - 10 bucks may seem like a lot but your child will really learn alot from them, if you sit down daily and work with her.

  7. I think you can go to Barnes and Nobles for your preschooler. Or if you do not find it there go to Walmart or even buy it on ebay.

  8. I teach kindergarten and I always get mine at either Dollar Tree, Dollar General or Walmart...they are just as high quality as those you'd get anywhere else and a lot cheaper.

Any teacher supply or office supply store should have them.  You can also order from Lakeshore, but they are expensive!

I like to make my own, too.  I can individualize them if I make them.

  9. i know this is hard to believe, but the dollar store. My mom is and ECE (early childhood educator) and finds incredible education products at some dollar stores that the children love. Try it, it saves you money and has great quality

  10. You should check staples.

Or if you cant find any buy some index cards and make your own.

  11. TOYSRUS has really nice ones... by categories.
