Where can i find the truth for myths and legends

im looking for a site that has the true stories behind mythological creatures like mermaids and genies and faires not the bedtime stories cause i thought originally they were all evil and then edited for kids so does anyone now where i can find the dark versions

In the world of discoveries.  All you have to do is close the books about myths and legends, stop viewing fantasy shows, take a walk outdoors to get abundant sunlight and fresh air.  That will gradually acquire back your lost wits.
