Pineapple juice contains the enzyme Bromelain.  It digests proteins.

Enzymes can be found in biological washing powders, where they are used to break down the stains etc on clothes.

Melanin is a pigment in plants and animals (it makes you skin darker when you get a tan) that protects them from the UV rays of the sun.

Haemoglobin is found in blood, and is responsible for carrying oxygen round the body

Keratin is found in your hair and nails, and in feathers and the shells of turtles.

Collagen is found in your connective tissue, and also in gelatin, which is used in cooking (i.e. in Jell-o)
