  1. .  The grants and "bond money issues" come from your city.  Twice a year (with not much warning) there is money for 20-50 homes.  You have to act quickly because the money is gone in 24 hours.  Those grants have many rules.  If you sell in 7 years you have to pay back all the money plus interest.  That's why i will never use one again.


  2. Your best bet is to work with the owner of the house on purchasing it

You certainly will not receive a grant for the entire purchase price.  Grants are becoming more challenging to obtain, some communities offer a few thousand dollars toward the purchase.  Contact your local government offices and inquire.  Ameridream is available for another month or so, you might want to look into that.

  4. Hey Ed, how do you find out when them grants come in and is it something every town does or just some? I have never heard of my town having grants to purchase homes for people, but I wouldn't know where to begin looking either.
