It is going to be very hard to find a decent 125 for under 1K. I would suggest Ebay. DIRT GOD HAS SPOKEN!

Check out ebay, I have had really good luck finding parts and bikes there.  If you know what your looking for you can find some really great deals.  It is winter, and people are letting there summer toys go for cheap.  I would also check ads in motorcycle selling papers you can get at any gas station locally.  for ex: "bargain post" "motorcycle trader"  My father ran across a 2000ish model Husaberg 600 four stroke, from the bank, got an amazing deal on an amazing bike.....

I wouldn't touch any bike that you pay less than a thousand for as you only get what you pay for and paying that much you are just buying trouble.   Save a bit longer before you purchase and get a newer bike.
