Where can i get a visa to go to Germany? (i live in chicago)?

do you have the proper passport to travel in come back to the US ,that is all you need to visit Germany ..

make sure if you go ? that you will have enough time remaining on your US passport ,at least 6 months ,required by the US and most countries ..

otherwise ? just go ..........and have a good trip ........))

If you are a US Citizen, canadian, mexican, central american and of most of south american nationality you dont need a visa to go to Germany.

I assume you're just going for a short visit? If so, you can go to Germany as a US citizen for up to 90 days without having to apply for a visa. And if you are going longer to study abroad or something, sometime when you get there you will have to apply for a student visa and it takes a few weeks.

Yeah, unless you plan on staying more than 3 months, you don't need any additional paperwork. Its not like travelling to the US.
