Question:

Where can i get an affordable remote control light switch?

My bedroom light switch is outside of my room...thanks to renovations...and I was wondering if anybody knew of a type of remote control light switch that I can use from inside my room to control the lights...the landlord said an electirician is not an option btw. Any suggestions? websites would be great

  4. I use this gizmo.  It doesn't work on the ceiling lights, but it does with a light that plugs in.

If you get one of these switches and its still out side your room, chances are you will still have to get up to turn the light on/off.  the signal probably wont be able to go to the otherside of the wall.. i know that the remote controll lightswitch i have (bought from homebase for maybe £15) wont work if i use the remote on the otherside of the wall.

  6. The Home Depot carries two that I know of, both under $30.
