this guy says: get a plastic cover notebook at walmart

and an real wood pencil at your local camp gift shop

i cant help u whith any thing else

  2. Many stores like Target and Office Max sell recycled post-its and binder paper. Tear out extra paper from old notebooks to use as binder paper.

You can buy a 2" binder and just keep on your papers stored in there to save plastic. However, storing all your work for school in one binder isn't convenient.

Buy only what you need. Do not spend extra money on more pencils, erasers, scissors, etc. when you already have them in good condition.

  3. Walmart sells some supplies that are save the enviornment horray! However, I do not trust Walmart, and know that there are much cuter and nicer supplies at Target.

  4. I'm working with my sons hight school earth club, in May I presented them with several earth friendly school supplies for a project we are working on. I went to Staples, Office Max, Office Depot, Target and Walmart. I found that Office Max and Target had the best selection. Office max has partnered with Terra Cycle, they had recycled plastic pens, mechanical pencils and markers and recycled paper pencils and binders. They also make pencil holders and backpacks out of juice pouches, like capri sun and kool aid. The binders were brown kraft paper, like a grocery bag, great to do art on. Office Max also has several store brands made from recycled paper. Target had a decent selection as well, I noticed the binders I purchased in May are now on the clearance aisle near office supplies. Targets selection was more fashionable, they had spiral note books with stripes or flowers made from recycled paper, as well as folders and a variety of other items. Walmart also had a smaller, yet stylish selection. The other 2 office stores were very limited.

A few tips to find ecofriendly school supplies: There are a lot of companies trying to trick you so look for the chasing arrows symbol. If the product is made from recycled product it will have a number in the middle that tells the percentage of recycled content used, it should also say if it was post consumer waste. Avoid PVC instead look for anything that can biodegrade. I was able to find everything my son needed for school including his back pack made with recycled or bidegradable materials.

Don't forget lunch and how you get to school. Walk or take a bike is best. If you have to be driven try to carpool and ask to be dropped off 5-10 minutes earlier and picked up 15 minutes later, this will help with congestion and avoid ideling. Pack a waste free lunch, it will be healthier and reduce waste.

-This website has examples of good products to buy. For example, Paper Mate® EarthWrite™ Recycled Pencils are made from 100% recycled materials, down to the lead and eraser.

    -Staples! http://www.staples.com/sbd/cre/marketing...

-They have post it's made from recyled materials, and even regular computer paper! (http://www.staples.com/office/supplies/p...

-Target will have stuff like Staples, just probably cuter. And don't go to Walmart, choose Target instead. Don't support a place like Walmart which tries to put businesses in little towns, destroying all the other small businesses. Lol, sorry a little rant.
