I love makeup.

I'm looking for some new bright shades but I'm on a budget.

Are there any good brands that i can get at the drugstore or Target, Walmart..etc?

Ive tried a few but they aren't as vivid and bright as i would like them to be.

What brands should i try?

  1. The key to lasting eyeshadow is to apply PRIMER before. It makes the colors more vivid, and it lasts all day! You can use Urban Decay's Primer Potion ( I highly recommend UDPP) , a Mac paint pot or if can't spend the money then use concealer on your eye lids. Hope that helps!

  2. you can get them almost anywhere. wal-mart, target, cvs, claire's is where i got mine.

TO MAKE THEM BRIGHTER: use a light colored(such as white or very light blue) cream shadow (you can get them in a twist tube at the dollar store for like a dollar) first and then put on your regular eyeshadow.

  3. Pallettes are a great way to go. you can create your own from Sally's beauty supply.com, the just snap one to the other. There are some pretty good ones at the larger Wal-Mart & K-Mart stores too. Look for Almay, Loreal  Covergirl & Maybelline..

  4. Barry M  :)

    The Colours are amazing

  5. well like other people have said, HIP by loreal or MAC yadda yadda yadda.. that stuff can get pricey!

    www.coastalscents.com

they have an AMAZING 80 color eyeshadow pallet with very intense colors, i got mine about a month back and haven't used anything since! and its pretty cheap, theres a lot of vibrant colors and some neutral shades if you wanna keep it clean, ya know? =] hope this helps!

  6. You HAVE to try the Urban Decay Deluxe Palette.

  7. HIP [high intesity pigments]! they have amazing eye shadow and they come in duos, very pigmented and similar to MAC. with the right base they can stay on all day.

EDIT: maxx factor does not have good eyeshadow, it's really chalky and takes a lot of effort to make the pigment show up on the eye.

  8. look for eyeshadows from rimmel, max factor, and the one that makes all the h.i.p. stuff i cant remember which brand it is but you'll see it at target, walgreens, etc
