Where can i get housing help immediately in Wayne County Michigan?

My husband draws disability and i only have a part time job until i find a full time job. We dont have much money from this and i have called everywhere for section 8 and its closed everywhere. We have one week to find a place or we will be homeless. Does anyone know any place that we can get help. Also applied for subsidized housing and its still a long waiting list a few years. Our credit isnt all that well from when my husband get sick we had no way to pay any bills. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP US.. its my 3 year old son hubby and me...

If the government is unable to help you at this time seek out assistance from some local charitable organizations such as: Goodwill, Salvation Army or Catholic Charities. They have been known to make grants to those truly in need especially, in an housing emergency as yours. You may also seek out assistance from the LDS church in your area.  No need to be a member.
