Question:

Where can i get insurance for my glasses?

I know this question sounds a little out of the usual but as i wear glasses 24/7 and rely on them heavily to see near and far clearly... I would like to know if i can insure my glasses?

I will be ordering a rimless frame (costing £200)

With extra thin anti reflection lenses (costing £180)

So really i need insurance cover for a £380 pair of glasses! If they break and i have no cover then i really don't want to pay another load of money...

As i intend joining the Police service i anticipate a few knocks and bumps, so its essential i can find insurance to cover such an expensive pair of glasses ....

Please can anyone help me out there, as i say i have a fairly strong prescription and will need them for 24/7 use ... So with a job such as working for the police.... Insurance on my glasses would have to be a MUST....

  1. If you have personal possessions cover on your household your glasses should be covered. If you have accidental damage cover they will also be covered for any accidental knocks or breakages.

may be cheaper than a seperate pol

  2. I insured my glasses through the optician  i got them with (BOOTS). Ask at your opticians I'm sure they will be only too happy to help.
