does price chopper or hannaford have it or do i have to go somewhere special? im need it to make sake

  1. no, its just a yeast, and you might find it in an asian market locally, otherwise here are some choices:


  2. Do you mean the starter "mold", koji-kin?  You can buy it online.  I doubt normal stores and supermarkets would carry it, except *maybe* on the West Coast.

    But I think buying online is the way to go, personally.  You can make a culture of it and keep it in your fridge, if you want to keep doing it.  But remember that in addition to the mold you need to still add yeast after the starch has turned to sugar.
