  1. for the US, oldmutual and mutual of omaha I think both have policies with issue ages up to 85 years old

  2. Hi - call COTA (Committee on the Ageing).

They have an insurance arm for older Australians.

    Will not be cheap, unfortunately.

  3. Life insurance is generally created to protect your vital working life, to pay off debts and protect from financial disaster against unforeseen events.

At age 65, most likely you don't have any dependents (young children to feed), pay off your home, retired. Without income, its advisable not to get a life insurance after age 65 as you may require the money for living expenses.

I know many are concern about the medical costs at age 65 because the risk of being sick is high. Because of this risk, insurers know it and thats why the premiums are 'daylight robbery' expensive.

But there are funeral plans in the market that offers as low as $1 per day (saw the ads on tv).

  4. Where do you live is a big question. In california, USA there is a website that deals into such life insurance policies very seriously.

  5. Yep, it depends on where you are, but many insurance companies offer life policies up to age 90.

  6. The same place you'd get them if you're under 65.  From a life insurance broker.  They'll show you multiple policies and help you out.
