  1. Trader Joe's has all kinds or organic stuff. A bit expensive though. Some of those "chemicals",may be food stuff broken down into their basic form. As one poster said, everything you eat, carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins, minerals etc., are all basically chemicals.

"Meatless organic meat substitute'? I've never seen a "organic meat substitute with meat". Having meat in a meat substitute kinda defeats the purpose you know?

  2. I usually find the meatless stuff in the freezer area (it is pretty hard to see and it has organic right where the meatless food should be at.

  3. find a better supermarket

  4. As long as you buy into the corporate branding when organic actually means "relating to, or derived from living organisms" when used as an adjective, which means all food is organic. That being said I have not been able to find anything other than Boca burger that comes close. The link is below. Other than that it seems the the meatless meat is a very limited market, which it should be if you are going to be a vegaterian. You have to figure that turning a veggie into a meat like substance is absolutely going to require some kind of alchemy. Looking for something that has no chemicals or artificial ingredients or addictives makes very little sense.

  5. You should try a Health Food Store, they usually have the good stuff, although a little more pricey.

  6. Whole foods or many health food markets. If you live close to a mid sized city you can find them. If you live hours away, you can buy online. Just google meat substitutes.

Many health places have some soy products whch are great such as tempeh and wheat products as seitan. In teh grocery stores , look for morningstar farms meatless sausage and bacon as well as products from BOCA

  7. "...FULL of stuff like chemicals and flavors"

Just so you know, everything you eat is Chemicals

  8. Whole Foods sells lots of meat substitutes, some organic. most are found in the frozen food section.

  9. At the butcher's lol. No, I was joking, maybe at the doctor's. but thats not inportant because for every animal you dont eat i'll eat three.

    I like meat!!!!!

  10. where do you live? i'm in cali, the ppl here go to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods for that stuff.

  11. Amy's has great meat-subsite (for burgers) and are organic, as well as Tofurky. For other meat substutes I would suggest making your own with organic ingredients! I would try Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, a health food store.

  12. actually not all names that sound strange r chemicals, 4 ex a can tell u the chemical name 4 vinegar and u can't recognize it
