  1. I heard a very intelligent, alternator and starter mechanic, talking about interstate batteries and he was not pleased with them, to say the least. I think that may have been the type of new battery that was put in my truck that caused my alternator to fail. They had to rebuild the alternator and take the battery back to napa for new one!

  2. i have a duralast battery i got at auto zone 5 yrs. ago and it,s been a good 1. interstate battery is a good battery too.most gas stations and garages sells them.

  3. Get a few quotes - try Halfords for a start, also give your local Kwik Fit / ATS depot a call as well as a local independent tyre & battery place. Your local motor parts supplier is a good bet too.

You'll only get the best deal by shopping around.

  4. Of course you can, it's your car. But if it's working, why do you want to change it, it want make the car go faster or more economically.

  5. I have a trade account with Makro, the big cash and carry store.  They have car batteries at a great low price, I have always bought them there if I needed one, and they have never needed replacing!
